A great time was had by all who attended the Texas Tech/SMU Women's Soccer game, Sept 16th. We got to see a great game end in a 0-0 tie after playing two sudden-death overtime halves.

First Daisies Game vs. The Screamers, Fall 2004

Game Archives
Spring 2007 Games 1-9 are now in the archives.

Game #10 vs. The Angels
Coming Soon!

Game #9 vs. Lady Knights
The outcome does not reflect the play of the Daisies. When we played the Lady Knights at the first of the season, we were reminded how stronger they are. Many weeks later, we played them stronger keeping them out of our goal more and had one or two opportunities of our own.

Game #8 vs. Mighty Crickets
With each week the Daisies have been getting stronger and playing like they are capable of. We had several opportunities to score but could not hit the goal. Our confidence is growing and we are getting solid performances by the entire team.

Our forwards are starting to challenge for the ball and pressure the defenses. Our fulbacks are kept the Mighty Crickets away from our goal, and our midfielders are hustling up and down the field. I am proud of were we are from the beginning of the season. We have improved tremendously in all aspects of our game.

Game #7 vs. Hunee BZZZS
This is one game I wish we could have back. We were flat the entire game and never got in a rythum. We allowed the Hunee BZZZS to control the game by not attacking or challenging for the ball. We gave the Hunee BZZZS a scare with a second half goal and then we let up. This was a flat game and maybe a result of two strong games earlier in the week. Time for practice and to regroup and play the way we have been practicing.

Game #6 vs. The Lady Divas
WOW! Another night game and all the Daisies had an excellent game. This may have been our second best game we have played. We played smart and got the Lady Divas down and against the ropes. Maybe the confidence was running too high and the Lady Divas turned the momentum late in the game scoring two unanswered goals. Howeve, credit the Daisies for not letting up and remaining strong to the final whistle.

Game #5 vs. The Lady Divas
The excitement was evident tonight as the Daisies played under the lights at Eastfield for our first night game. This might have been one of the best games the Daisies have played. The type of speed and aggresiveness displayed tonight is what we see in practice every week, but somewhere gets mixed up in the shuffle during the games.

We had one break down that allowed the Lady Divas to score, but the Daisies decided to continue this aggressive played and began to pressure the Lady Divas with our offense. This offensive pressure resulted in the Daisies first ever penalty kick. Since we have only worked on penalty kicks once, the result was quite appealing. We converted the penalty kick to a goal to tie up the game. This is what it is all about when the girls give their 100% best and put into action what we have been working at practice on all season.

Game #4 vs. The Angels
One thing we established with today's game, is we are not an early morning team. We lacked the energy or motivation to hustle to the ball. We had a few opportunities to score, but not enough offense to threaten the Angels' defense. We were not out skilled, just out hustled. Hopefully, we will rebound for our first night game against the Lady Divas.

Game #3 vs. Diamonds
In less than two weeks we played the Diamonds again. This was not the same team we played the first gone round. The Diamonds had a full roster of players this time. The Daisies went into the game to confident against the Diamonds. We could never get on tracked and were beaten to the ball constantly and seemed timid. We had some good opportunities with our passing, but lacked that little burst of energy and aggresiveness we displayed against the Diamonds in our previous match-up.

Game #2 vs. Diamonds
The Daisies rebound from frustration and heat to showcase the skills we are aquiring. Without a doubt this was one of the best games the entire Daisies have ever played. Every player was a vital part to the victory. As I've joked before, the girls must have eaten "nails" before the game. This was the most aggressive game the Daisies have ever played.

With temps hovering around 100 degrees and little wind, the players gave their 100% and took their needed break. We had precise passes and "needle threading" shots on goal to keep the Diamonds on their heals. Today was a great example of why we need every player at every practice. The things we did today were drills we have been working on over the past month in practice.

Game #1 vs. Lady Knights
If you don't succeed....try, try, and try again! This should have been our motto for this game. The Lady Knights were a tough team to play for the first game of the new season. I'm very proud how the Daisies played.

If you just looked at the score, you might have thought the Daisies didn't do anything good. This is just the contrary! We had some very good passes and two or three good opportunities to score. However, anytime we did anything good the Lady Knights would be there to counter our good passes and shots on goal. The first half we had our couple opportunities to score, and the second half we lacked a little motivation as a result of the Lady Knights and ball control and aggressive play. There are many things we will need to continue to work on, but I feel we are moving in the right direction.

We will work on our passing skills, spreading out, and moving to the open areas to create passing lanes. We will begin working on being aggressive and challenging our opponents.

Please check back weekly for new updates.
